The traditional, enjoyable dish of March 25th is rich in calcium, vitamin D and O-3 fatty acids due to fish. Garlic potato puree on the other hand with garlic and olive oil works to the heart’s benefit as garlic helps lower blood pressure, while olive oil, with its monounsaturated fatty acids, improves good cholesterol levels and slightly lowers it.
The sea flavor of cod “binds” with the sharp taste of garlic sauce and the crispy texture of the fish, is combined with the soft texture of the mashed garlic potato puree.
